Next is the Gold coin, it is the in-game currency in FW which is used for buying/selling and most importantly for trading. Unlike Soul coin which were bound to your character. Gold coins are meant to be transferred from one character to Another to Circulate. One important feature of Gold coin is that when you are out of Soul coin, it is possible to use your Gold coin as an alternative.
Now the question is how will you be able to obtain a decent Gold coins in game? Here are some of my tips on both cash shoppers and non-cash shoppers alike.
1. Joining Phantasm Carnival 3x a week and exchanging your Game Token to Gold coins.
Phantasm Carnival is an event wherein you will be rewarded by game Tokens when you finished the instance on or before the time expires.( 1 hour is the maximum time limit). These Tokens can be used to exchange in game item such as Weapons and Shards. But most importantly you can use it to exchange gold coins. Just talk to the npc seen on the picture below to get the quest.
2. Exchanging Mercury Statuette to an npc for an instant 3 Gold coins.
I recommend this if you are a cash shopper who badly needs Gold. This is the easiest way of earning Gold, all you need to do is exchange your ZEN to LEAF currency, then buy Mercury Statuette using LEAF ang HOLA!!!!! go to Piper in Freedom Harbor and you will have an instant 3 Gold in your pocket.
3. Doing the Quest Midas Touch 3-5x a day.
Yes if you have Mercury Statuette and Mercury Coupon on your pocket. You can do Midas Touch Quest which will give you around 4-6g per turn. Now the question is, how will I get Mercury Statuette if i have no LEAF and I just started the game a week ago? The answer is of course I'm pretty sure you already accumulated more than 3gold by exchanging your Game Tokens you received in doing Phantasm Carnival. You can now use that Gold as a starting capital to start with. Buy Mercury Statuette to the cash shopper for a price of 3.5gold then do Midas touch, and HOLA!!! you now have at least 5gold in your pocket. Now do the same thing again using your current capital in order to earn profit of minumum of 1 gold per midas touch quest. See by the time you'll be noticed that you now have 10gold in your pocket.
4. Buy and Sell using the Auction House.
For me this is one good way of earning golds without sweat. Now that you have golds by doing midas touch and carnival, not to mention if you have leafs to exchange for 3golds instantly. Now is the time for you to do some serious business in order for you to gain more gold. Buying and Selling is the answer. Go to the Auction House first, study the current flow of in game economy, check the prices of the items, remember that you need to know what items were in demand for the players and what are not.
Let us say for example that the price of Primerose Wine range from 10-15silver at the current era. then it so happened that you saw it on auction House for only 5silver each. Why not buy all of them then sell it for the price of 7 silver which are still lower than the minimum price of 10silver. See you already earn a little profit by just spending a little time on the Auction House. You just need to be always updated of all the prices in the market so you won't be fooled easily.
5. Farming Blue Items on Instances.
This is the best way for you to earn a lot of golds in game. All you need to do is to create a permanent party which will last throughout the game. Much better to this with your real life friends. Once you have a permanent party, now start to farm equipment instances of your level.. you can do Light House at level 30+, Arena of Soul at 40+ and Welkin Castle at 50+.... the advantage of farming those instances in early stage of game is that the supply of the equipment in the market is not that many since everyone is still on their leveling stage. So the prices of your gathered items is fairly high at the moment. Once too many players are now capable of entering the instances, the prices of the item will soar down dramatically. So better farm items at the early stage of the game. You need to apply the Law of Supply and Demand when you try to sell a rare item of yours.
6. Choose your Sub-Job carefully.
Sub-Jobs points are totally limited in every character, so you must know hot to control it, and must know what is the best Sub-Job that is suited for you. Because this will be one way in order for you to earn Gold. Sub-Job combination can help you save gold and soul coins while trying to level it up.
An example of good combination is a mineralogist and a craftsman. Better to get both. An Scavenger and a Weapon smith/Armor smith is a good combination also. One of the best Sub_Job for me is being a Tamer. For it will not only give you tons of golds, but it will make your life in Forsaken World more fun to play because of the varieties of pet you can tame. Just remember to make your Tamer Job to be level 2 before you reached level 50.
trust me, you'll never get bored and at the same time eran much much gold of being a Tamer.
That's it. There were still many ways in order for you to earn Gold coins in-game. You don't need to spent real cash just to stay alive in FW because this game is intended to be played by both cash-shoppers and non-cash shoppers. Of course admit it or not, having some real cash is still a little advantage. Bu that doesn't mean that you will dominate the game because the most important thing in every game is not money but the Talent.
